The Moss
family have perfectly diversified skills for the wine
industry.
Prior to
establishing Moss Brothers, senior partner and patriarch Jeff Moss
had more than 35 years experience in the wine industry starting at
Mildara and later Seppelt and Hardy’s. David Moss worked in the
vineyards and wineries of some of Margaret River’s most highly
regarded wineries. His brother, Peter, an engineer, crafted
stainless steel tanks and winery equipment and built the Moss
Brothers winery from the ground up, whilst their sister Jane
studied wine making and grape growing at Roseworthy Agricultural
College and has been pivotal in establishing the Moss Brothers
style.
A commitment to quality and exceptional fruit
has earned Moss Brothers a reputation for producing some of Margret
River’s finest wines.
The Moss
Brothers range consists of three distinct tiers. The pinnacle is
the Moss Brothers range which endeavour to showcase the essence of
straight varietal wines. Carefully crafted and distinct in their
varietal and regional character the range includes Shiraz, Cabernet
Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. Complementing these wines are two
Wilyabrup Single Vineyard wines, a Chardonnay and Cabernet
Sauvignon Merlot, the flagship wines of Moss Brothers they
celebrate the provenance and terrior of the Wilyabrup
vineyard.
The
Moses Rock range consists of the renowned Margaret River white
blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon and the uniquely Australian
red blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Jane Moss
range of Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Merlot represent
regionality and accessibility harnessing the rich terroir of the
region and offering excellent value for these ‘contemporary’
Margaret River classics.
